Hi,
I chose a vegeterian diet as it contributes to a cleanest and safer environment and better health while causing less pain and suffering for innocent animals.
Now days people overconsume meat based diet on a daily bases which can affect the sustainably of our earth. Eating less meat leads to fewer farmed animals, which consume a lot of resources to raise e.g. water, time and space. Fun Fact: Livestock as a whole is estimated to be responsible for around 18% of global greenhouse gas emissions especially beef. It’s estimated that beef requires 28 times more land, 6 times more fertilizer and 11 times more water.
What I think will be difficult of doing this challenge is seeing my family eating non vegeterian diet, they do support me which is enough to keep me going. The easy part is I think the meals doesn’t take long to cook or make, which is more exciting as I can research new recipes online. I admire everyone effort on doing this challenge and I’m looking forward to see the end results. Maybe I’ll convince my family on doing this challenge with me 🙂

cCHANGE Team commented on Day 5: Vegeterian diet 4 years agoHello Zinaida and welcome to Ripples of Change! My name is Leonie and I am part of the cCHANGE team. Over the next 30 days, my colleague Heidi and I are going to be following your challenge and will support you and hopefully offer you new perspectives. This is a really great challenge. There are so many sides to food e.g. the environmental impacts, the cultural, and the health side. It can be an interesting place to learn about what you value. Lots of things explore, experience and learn over the next 30 days. Really good to hear your family support you. Let's see if they shift their habits a bit too. Have you noticed yourself on autopilot at all in the last few days and forgotten about your challenge? We're looking forward to reading your updates. Best wishes, Leonie Respond
