My challenge
To cut down on plastic waste

It’s now day 10 of this challenge and I find it becomes increasingly difficult each day .

Up until now I’ve been avoiding huying anything from the shops because absolutely everything is wrapped in plastic. Instead I’ve been using what I have in my fridge already and making up recipes , but now I’ve ran out of food so I have to face going to the shop and hunting for something to eat that’s not wrapped in plastic.

Most plastic free products are loose vegetables and fruits so I’m going to have to learn to make sauces from scratch and boil rice in a pot instead of cooking it in the microwave.

I’ve also bought glass containers for when I build up the courage to go to the butcher for meat instead of Tesco.

I’m excited to take this next step of interacting with more people in my community but I’m also nervous , I don’t know what their reactions will be .

Hopefully it will all be positive feedback and maybe I’ll inspire others who see me taking on this challenge!
