The experiment so far has been what I expected in terms of switching cleaning products but I didn’t expect to be thinking about it so much and in such detail. I am also finding myself thinking about what other areas in my life I could make more environmentally friendly and more sustainable.
I tend to follow the crowd when I don’t feel.too strongly about something and it won’t be harmful.or dangerous. I don’t like being awkward so will usually go with the flow in most situations.
I really like the film ALIKE and how he went outside his comfort zone. But as a parent myself I know you will do things for your children that you normally would never dream of doing. There needs to be a strong enough catalyst to get a person to move outside of their comfort zone even.if it will benefit it them in the long run.

cCHANGE Team commented on Day 9: Today’s questions 4 years agoHi Katherine, Thanks for your reflections. It's great to read how into the challenge you are. We often find that people start seeing opportunities to change in other areas of their lives. I know what you mean about doing things for your children you wouldn't normally dream of. I myself often find it hard to balance my environmental aspirations with the aspirations and needs of my children and the culture around me. As they get older, I am trying to bring more and more of my sustainability aspirations in, because I know now that they talk about it at school. And when they ask me for things like a bottle of water in a shop, I explain why I won't buy it in relation to my concern for the environment. Thanks also for your post on Day 7, an interesting idea to make the invisible visible. And those smoking packet campaigns did seem to dissuade a lot of people. Keep reflecting on your beliefs about yourself and why you hold them ... perhaps you could try gently testing what happens when you do something different ;) Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
