Hello!
My challenge for the next 30 days is going to be doing my best to only buy organically produced food with least amount of plastic packages as possible, at least 3 times a week. I choose this challenge as lately I’ve been becoming more conscious of how much unnecessary disposable plastic we put on all kinds of foods and products. I personally always feel guilty for contributing to that. Cutting down all disposable plastic use would be my goal in the future, but as this seems to be a bit of a reach in my student lifestyle at the moment, I think cutting down plastic in food is a good first step for me. My first ever step towards being more sustainable was becoming vegetarian around two years ago, which has been a big success for me, so I am very excited to learn new ways I can help the environment more. I am normally very used to buying food in supermarkets, so I’m hoping to find a bit of change in that.
I hope everyone finds their challenges useful and exciting, and I’m wishing you all tons of luck:)

cCHANGE Team commented on Day 2: Introductory post 4 years agoHi, Natalia! Welcome to the Ripples of Change cCHALLENGE! My name is Heidi and I am part of the cCHANGE team. We are going to be following your challenge and will support you, and perhaps offer you new perspectives, over the next 30 days. You have chosen a great challenge! We use and waste too much plastic in the world, that is for sure. And what we eat affects our own health but also the planet’s. I am glad to hear that becoming vegetarian has been a success for you, as you know it can be very hard to change habits. I am looking forward to hear what you discover about organic food, plastic, supermarkets – and about yourself and the system around us. All the best from Heidi Respond
