The challenges I have set myself for the next 30 days are to eat vegan one day a week, give up all meat besides chicken and to take shorter showers using cold water.
Although these challenges are relatively small and might seem insignificant when facing the huge challenge of climate change, I am hoping to get some insight into how these changes eventually add up when they are undertaken by the masses.
I also hope to inspire others to at least consider what little things they can do to help fight the climate change crisis.

cCHANGE Team commented on Day 3: 30 day challenge 4 years agoHi Medbh, Welcome to Ripples of Change. It’s Leonie in the cCHANGE team here. My colleague Heidi and I are going to be following your challenge over the next 30 days and will support you, and hopefully offer you some new perspectives. You have chosen a really interesting challenge. Not only are there the practical issues you'll need to think about, but also the cultural issues attached to eating meat. Do you live with people, have you got their support? Making our food systems more sustainable is really important. I hope you get insights into the issue for individuals, systems and cultures. I would recommend trying to stick to the one challenge, when we bring in more than one focus, our attention gets a bit diverted. You can still take shorter, colder showers on the side if you want, but for this project we recommend just focusing on one thing and giving it your attention and intention. I know you will inspire others. Telling people about the experiment you are starting could be a nice way to make people curious and get them asking questions. I really look forward to reading more and following your journey. When will your next vegan day be? Best wishes, Leonie :) Respond
